R2Bean2 Coffee Ltd is a veteran-owned business, a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and a Bronze Award holder in the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
Our support for the Armed Forces community is part of how we operate, how we will recruit as the business grows, and how we support the wider community.
We have pledged to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant and to ensure that members of the Armed Forces community are treated fairly and are not disadvantaged because of their service or association with the Armed Forces.
For R2Bean2, this is more than a badge on a website. It reflects a practical commitment to Reservists, veterans, Service leavers, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, military spouses and partners, and the wider Armed Forces community.
Reservists will receive a minimum of five additional days of paid leave each year for recognised Reserve Forces training. We will support mobilisation, demobilisation and return to civilian employment, and we recognise employees who retain Strategic Reserve or recall obligations.
Military experience, qualifications and transferable skills will be recognised fairly in recruitment. Cadet Force Adult Volunteers will receive up to five additional days of paid leave each year for recognised training and volunteering commitments, together with reasonable flexibility where practicable.
Military spouses and partners will not be disadvantaged because of employment gaps, relocations or other effects of Service family life. Recruitment will focus on skills, experience and suitability, with reasonable flexibility considered where practicable.
Our commitment goes beyond employment policy. R2Bean2 actively supports veteran organisations, charities, veteran-owned businesses and initiatives that strengthen the Armed Forces community.
That support is visible across our partnerships, community activity and the organisations we choose to stand alongside.
Current award
R2Bean2 currently holds the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Bronze Award, recognising our commitment to being an Armed Forces-friendly employer and our support for the Armed Forces Covenant.
This marks the formal start of our Employer Recognition Scheme journey. We will continue strengthening our support and update this page as that journey progresses.
