Safe Grounds is a medium-dark roast from the Kintamani Highlands of Bali, and the one R2Bean2 coffee where every sale gives back.

Baker's chocolate, orange peel, juniper and molasses come through in a rich, layered cup. It has the weight dark-roast fans look for, with a clean finish and a touch of brightness from that orange peel.

Brew guide: 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per 6 fl oz of water, just off the boil (195 to 205°F). For a French press, use about 4 tablespoons of coarse grounds per 16 fl oz and steep for 4 minutes.
